 Your Medicare Rights

What are your rights as a Medicare member?

1. You have a right to receive the care you need.

2. You have the right to be fully informed about what is covered under Medicare and what you have to pay.

3. You have the right to be involved in decisions made about your care.

4. You have the right to receive emergency care.

5. You have the right to know how your Medicare health plan pays its doctors.

6. You have the right to question decisions you think aren't in your best interest. In fact, such decisions can be reconsidered by another medical expert if you wish.

What should you do if you disagree with the decisions made about your healthcare, or if you feel you are not receiving the care you are entitled to?

Talk to your doctor and share your concerns. Ask specific questions.

If you are still not satisfied with the decisions made or the answers you receive, MetaStar can help you.
