| MetaStar serves as the Medicare Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) for Wisconsin, under the direction of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
MetaStar collaborates with the medical and consumer communities to develop, conduct, measure and evaluate health care quality improvement initiatives in a variety of settings. CMS chooses to focus priority areas in order to have an impact on the health of people with Medicare.
MetaStar is Wisconsin's Quality Improvement Organization (QIO)  . Under contract with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), MetaStar works with health care providers, such as home health agencies, nursing homes, hospitals and physicians to improve the quality of care they provide. MetaStar also focuses on educating Medicare beneficiaries about the type of care they deserve and how to stay healthy. |
